ASO-S satellite project passed the project review
On the morning of June 16, 2017, the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized a comprehensive demonstration report review meeting for the Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S, Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory) satellite project in Beijing.
A total of more than 60 people from the Major Science and Technology Mission Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the overall project, specially invited experts, and major system engineering and management personnel attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wu Ji, director of the National Space Science Center and project leader. The conference review committee is composed of experts from Nanjing University, National Astronomical Observatory of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi'an Satellite Measurement and Control Center, Beijing Institute of Remote Sensing Information, Purple Mountain Observatory of Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Space Science Center and other units. The meeting listened to the "Comprehensive Demonstration Report on the Establishment of Advanced Space-Based Solar Observatory Satellite Project" prepared by the overall project. After inquiries and discussions, the review committee believed that the demonstration and preliminary design of the ASO-S satellite project were reasonable and feasible, the key technical issues were clear, and the preliminary technology The method is reasonable and feasible, the risk is controllable, the project has met the conditions for project approval, and it is agreed to pass the review.
